WILD WITH WATERS

Wild With Waters

A three-fold experience in the form of a concert with Caroline Waters Band, Nina Hagen/Madonna Me Jane, and the drag duo Bang Bang Shockproof is planned for the Wild Waters Party at Belleville on September 4th.

It is the second year in a row that Caroline Waters invites us to a Wild Waters Party at Belleville. Caroline Waters, who last year moved to Los Angeles to expand her music career, is on her annual summer visit to Oslo and hopes that Wild Waters Party can become a tradition.

  • It is fun to make something different from just a concert, to include a party and a show, she says.

She won't disclose much of the Me Jane addition, but she is more than happy to give us a description.

  • Me Jane is an hysterical cross between Nina Hagen and Madonna. She tickles the laughing muscles along with some other muscles, says Waters, who can tell us that Me Jane last year released the single, "You're Just Too Cool", and that a video has also been made about her called "Me Jane Goes To Hollywood". In the video, we meet Me Jane in "full bloom", says Caroline, who also is in the process of making a movie. It will be a psycho drama thriller, - a detective story, but with more personal content.

DISAPPEARED IN NEVADA
The movie is about her friend, Stefanie Stroh, who disappeared in Nevada in 1987. Caroline Waters went to detective school in Los Angeles last year, in part, to fulfill a childhood dream, and partly as preparation for the movie.

On the music front, Caroline Waters has two album projects that she'll be working on in the fall. One is the album where the music will have a jazzy image, but also with elements of funk, she tells us.

SOLO ALBUM
The other one, which will be released next year, will be Waters' third solo album. On it she will have her original songs, co-produced by musician Mayuto Correa, who have played with Harry Belafonte and Santana. This album will have a Latin style. We have let ourselves loose in the studio to get the rhythms going, says Caroline Waters.
